Card edge finger connection

musclenerdzllc

Greetings all,

I am kinda a newbie and I trying to build a board that has a card edge connection.  I have placed the connection fingers as they need to be to fit into the edge connector, but since they don't appear in the schematic eagle won't let me connect them to the signal paths.  Anyone know how I can make Eagle connect them?

    Hi Jerry,

Such a shortcut (drawing the fingers in the Board view) is not recommended, the best approach is to create a part, i.e. a Device (i.e. create a Package, and create a Symbol, and then associate them together to make a Device) to represent the edge connector.

In other words, focus should be on the red highlighted areas of the EAGLE workflow processes.
