back up files

Each time I work on a schematic or board in Eagle several of what I am

assuming are back-up files are created in the directory in which the edited

file exist. These file are labeled something along the lines of

"newdesign.s#1, newdesign.s#2" and so on...

 

Is there any way to make this stop? I am using Eagle on the OS X platform.

    Go to Option > Backup from the Control Panel.

    See also the 'backup' item in the online manual.

    I use the following script to clean up EAGLE's backup files (and some

    other tmp files) once I'm sure I won't need them (a couple of times,

    the automatic backup have come in VERY handy!)

     

    #/bin/bash

    find . -name "*.b#[#123456789]" -print -delete

    find . -name "*.s#[#123456789]" -print -delete

    find . -name "*.l#[#123456789]" -print -delete

    find . -name "*.pro" -print -delete

    find . -name "*.erc" -print -delete

    find . -name "*~" -print -delete
