Group Copy

autodeskguest

I'm trying to copy a group (packages, traces, etc.) to another specific

location in the same board.  I thought it would be as easy as defining a

group and using the copy command but it doesn't work for me.  I'm sure it is

simple but I can't find an example in the manual or the help file.  Can

someone point me to a page in the manual?  Or is there another method?

Quit a bit of info is contained in previous posts in the eagle groups.

They are set not to expire so post for the last few years are all here.

You will need to configure outlook to get all of the messages or use a

working newsreader like thunderbird from mozilla.com

    Back to the question.

For some historical or translation artifacts some of the eagle command

names don't match what you think they should do.

copy is used to duplicate 1 item.

Group then cut then paste is the function you want to use.

If you want to move something you use the

Group cut delete paste sequence instead.

Moving a group is much simpler than above.

    Group

    Choose "Move" command

RIGHT Click on something in the group and drag it.

Left click to drop it in the new place.
