automatic path eagle freeware key for puppy linux

autodeskguest
autodeskguest over 17 years ago

I installed eagle 4.16 on my puppy-linux using the pb_debianinstaller.

Everything works fine except I always have to tell Eagle that the

freeware key is at the difficult to remember location:

/usr/lib/eagle/bin/freeware.key

It would be easier if I could start eagle right with this path filled

out. I mean somethig like:

eagle --use_path_to_key /usr/lib/eagle/bin/freeware.key

Is there a possibility to achieve this?

regards,

hugo

As nobody answers my question, maybe I should explain a bit better why I

ask this question. Puppy-linux is a superfast linux distribution which

installs on almost every medium. As I want to have my favorite

CAD-software always with me I installed eagle 4.16 on it. When I

remaster the distribution with remasterpup2 I need to know which files I

have to put extra below /tmp/root or it would also be sufficient to be

able to start eagle with the path mentioned above, but how?

Just remove the eagle.key file from EAGLE's 'bin' directory.

The next time you start EAGLE it will ask whether to use the

freeware license key (which is also in the 'bin' directory).
