How to print a board complete with polygon fill?

autodeskguest
autodeskguest over 17 years ago

I want to produce board layout artwork on my printer that has a polygon

fill. Whenever I reload the board, the fill disappears and I have to

regenerate the fill on screen. I believe that the Gerber output will

regenerate the fill but I simply want to generate artwork on my line printer

complete with fill. Have I missed the relevant section in the manual that

explains all this? Do I have to produce the Gerber outputs to achieve this

or is there a quick and easy method using just the print from the control

panel menu?

    Thanks Tilmann,

I have already done this, but I guess the hidden agenda of my question was

whether the artwork produced using this is the same as that produced from

going through the Gerber production procedure. Maybe I'm just being lazy

trying to get some quick tips and so my next task is to produce Gerber files

and find out for myself. I've got to say that its a pity that Eagle can't

preserve the fill without having to click the rats nest but its not a big

    deal.

Polygons are stored as outlines in the design files and calculated by

    RATSNEST (see help and manual).

Simply run RATSNEST once after loading your files, /then/ PRINT.

(The CAMP will automatically calculate polygons when producing gerber

output. PRINT just prints the files as they appear on the screen.)
