How to document Vscoring on a board

I am designing a board that requires Vscoring to allow parts of the

board to be snapped off after assembly.  The board house needs a fab

drawing for this Vscoring, and I will generate this drawing directly

from my Eagle layout (using the CAM processor).  Is there a convention

for the layer on which elements are placed to be put into a fab drawing?

    Generally, the board houses just need some information where to score. I

    don't think there is a "convention", but the board houses widely accept

    gerber files for whatever information (like milling, scoring etc.).

     

    For scored boards, I always add a custom layer "vscore" and draw very

    thin lines (0.01mm) there. Then I simply provide a gerber file of that

    layer along with the other gerber files. It has alwas worked perfectly.

     

    Just take care to tell them that you want scoring and in which file the

    data is - otherwise it might be ignored...
