Auto Junctioning in V5 problem

We have an odd problem that has effected both Eagle 4 and now 5.   We

have two computers, our main computer is the one that we wish to do layout

on, and we have another computer that we don't really want to do layout on.

The problem with our main computer is that the schematic auto junctioning

does not work.   Regardless of the state of the auto junction check box, the

schematic will never place a junction on its own.   However, on our other

computer it works just fine.    For Eagle version 4 we left it that way,

running it only on the computer where auto junctioning worked,  but when

version 5 came out we decided to try it again on the main computer.   When

we did that, we get the same result, auto junctioning will not work.    The

last experiment I ran was like this:

I opened a design in Eagle 5, I turned off the auto junctioning, then

saved all and exited Eagle.

I relaunched eagle and opened the same design and verifyied that the

auto junctioning was turned off and did not work.  I then turn auto

junctioning back on and saved everything and exited eagle.

I then relaunched eagle, opened the same design, and then verified that

auto junctioning was turned on - BUT it was still not working.

Any thoughts?    There is nothing special about the computers,  they are

Intel processors running Windows XP, with NVidia Gerforce 8600 GT series

video cards.  Thanks for any help I can get.

Maybe you drew your nets with the WIRE command and not with the

    NET command, as recommended?

I would not have thought it possible, but the guy running the eagle on that

machine HAS been using wire and not net.   Good call, sorry to bother you

    for something so stupid.
