Consistency errors

I removed a part in schematic from one node to another, then I realized what

I had was correct. Without doing anything else on the board side, I moved

the part back to where it was. NOW I HAVE CONSISTENCY ERRORS on every single

node, and parts!! ARHHH!!!! What can I do?!?!?

Run the ERC. The ERC report shows you the differences

between both files. You have to correct the differences manually.

If it is too much work, you could also check for backup files

(.b#1...b#9 for boards, .s#1....s#9 for schematics) that

    fit together.

    Albert,

This probably happened because the board file wasn't open when you made the

changes to the schematic. Once you have a schematic and associated board

file, you should never modify either file if they are not both open. When

you open a project and both files are not opened, open them manually and

than close the project again. Next time you'll open the project, the .sch

and .brd files will both be opened. Don't close them individually but always

use the Control Panel to close the project. That way the 2 files will remain

    consistent.

Another advantage is that if you maximize the files and use the control

panel to close the project, the files will automatically be maximized next

    time you open the project.

    Cheers,

    Robert
