n00b question

Being a total EAGLE n00b, it seems I can't get the  'Group'  tool to work - the rectangle or multiline just disappears and things  don't act 'grouped'.

 

Can you assist?

 

Just thinking, perhaps there should be a separate discussion section for us beginners, just sayin'.

    Hi Drew,

     

    The group command works a little differently than some other drawing

    programs.

    I usually select the tool that I want (delete, ripup etc) and then

    immediately select the group command, then select the group with the

    mouse and right click (Or the green light) to make it so.

     

    You can select the group and then the tool also, but you still right

    click to make magic.

     

    The help system is very good also.

    I see that (and by the way, it's not explained very well) that WHEN the right click occurs, then a small text box appears that then must be clicked for the action to happen.

     

    No, I don't agree the HELP is not very helpful. The tutorial is not so good either.
