Obscured text on layer 26 (bnames)

I'm using Eagle 5.11.0. When working with components on the bottom side of a board layout, I'm having problems with the component names on layer 26 (bnames layer) being hidden by the circuitry on the bottom layer 16. Is there a way to fix this so that bnames is always on top of layer 16, and is always visible?

This might depend on the color settings. What background color do
you use? Do you use the default alpha blending? You can check and
modify the settings in the Options/Color menu.

I don't find an Options/Color menu selection, only Options/Set or /User Interface selection. Snapshots of the Options/User Interface dialog with the settings I'm using and the actual problem are shown below.
This happens on all boards that I work on, not just this one.

The images did not make it to the nntp groups, but I looked on
eklemetn14 and found the images. The Options/Set/clors menu is
the correct one. Could you please check whether the option
"Use Alpha blending" is active or not. Simply toggle it. Does it help?

Yes, I had "Use Alpha Blending" checked. I unchecked it, and the problem has been fixed. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
