DXF Import

I have been unsuccessful trying to import a relatively simple dxf file into Eagle 5.11. I have tried 3 3rd party tools/scripts: demo version of DXF to Eagle Script Converter 2.3.3 (from Falk Stricker's Eagle PCB Power Tools), dxf2Eagle.exe version 1_14_3 (at http://www.mikrocontroller.net/topic/61385), and import_dxf_polygons.ulp (from Eagle website, downloads section). Only the demo version of DXF to Eagle Script Converter 2.3.3 was able to import fragments (which weren't coherent) of the .dxf. The other two tools could not import the .dxf after trying several different export options from Solid Works. I can view the .dxf in Solid Works eDrawings. I was able to import a test .dxf into all three Eagle .dxf tools/scripts.

Can someone advise on a reliable, fully functional DXF import tool for Eagle 5.11? I know Eagle 5.11 comes standard with the import DXF script; am I missing the export DXF script somewhere?

Hi Jeff,

Try the dxfimport1_5.ulp that was recently uploaded to
www.cadsoftusa.com -> Downloads -> User Language Programs. As long as
the file isn't strictly composed of SPLINES you should see something
import into EAGLE.

Hi Jeff,

Try the dxfimport1_5.ulp that was recently uploaded to
www.cadsoftusa.com -> Downloads -> User Language Programs. As long as
the file isn't strictly composed of SPLINES you should see something
import into EAGLE.

Hi Jorge,

When I try to run the dxfimport1_5.ulp, I get an error "unable to open the include file 'home/cadsoft/eagle/debug.ulp".
Where do I find this ulp?
If there is a spline in the dxf, will it work?
Is there a way to remove a spline?
