PB with DISPLAY layer on V5.0.0 and V5.1.0

autodeskguest over 17 years ago

I have migrate from EAGLE V4.16r2 to V5.0.0 and V5.1.0.

On board on V4.16r2 if I do DISPLAY layer and I switch OFF layers 21 22 23

24 25 26 I see the layer TOP BOTTOM VIAS PAD UNROUTED DIMENSION.

If I do the same on V5.0.0 or on V5.1.0, I see some parts of shape for CMS,

RESISTOR, PIN CONNECTOR.

If I switch OFF the layer 51 tDocu at this time I see the same at V4.16r2.

In V5.0.0 and V5.1.0 is there relation betwen this layer???? I think not !

Have you a solution.?

Regards

    Hello STVENANT !:

    ....

In V5.0.0 and V5.1.0 is there relation betwen this layer???? I think not !

    You are right image !

    Have you a solution.?

    Yes image !

    • DISPLAY command:

      - The DISPLAY command no longer automatically turns related layers on or off

when used with the t/bPlace or Symbols layer.

        The parameter

        Option.DisplayRelatedLayers = "0"

to the eaglerc.usr file is now obsolete.

      - The DISPLAY command now supports "aliases" for parameter settings (see

        "Aliases for command parameters").

      - The DISPLAY command has a new option "Last", which restores the settings

as they were before the previous DISPLAY command.

its from update info ..... so to switch some layers on/off now you need

to assign the command to a function key. I have :

    Brd.Key.C+F6 = "dis 21 22 23 24"

    .....

    Brd.Key.S+F6 = "dis -21 -22 -23 -24 -25 -26 -27 -28"

It works, maybe the old method was sometimes more comfortable...
