How do I change the NET associated with the PAD on the PCB?

I have a full schematic and partially routed board.  I need to know how to change the net associated with a pad on the pcb board.  Right now, the board and schematic are not consistent, so no changes I make in the schematics effect the board.

All I need to do is change the net name in the board file so that it matches the net in the schematic file.  The schematic nets are correct.  How do I do this?

Close the schematic and change the name of the signal on the board.

    Then open the schematic again.

    Thanks Warren,

That put me on the right track, and I think I figured out what happened.  Usually, when I get an inconsistency error, it is because I had either the board or schematic open without the other.  That was not the case this time.

I had both board and schematic open and consistent, started the auto router, and then stopped it at 82%.  I then made changes to the schematic.  When I went to resume the auto route, I got the inconsistency error.  As the signals I changed in the schematics had already been routed on the pcb, that's where the inconsistency was, even though I had the whole project (board and schematic) open at the time I made those changes.

I went into the board and manually connected the pads to the proper net with the Signal command and that brought up the dialog to choose the net names.

So then I ran the auto route again, this time unchecking the box that continued the previous auto routing session.

It's now consistent and autorouting away......

    Thanks,

    Stephen
