1) What I REALLY need today is a smarter device renumbering ulp or command. Renumbering the whole board works, but the PCB is large and there are many sections. I would like to be able to
a) renumber only the selected group (rather than entire sheet or schematic or board)
b) (better yet) have a smart feature that asks for a distance cutoff, so that all parts within that distance are numbered sequentially, and not only across the X or Y axes.
Does anyone know ULP language who could quickly update Eagle's bundled "Renumber" ulp to only use devices that are "In Group" (that is what tech support suggested to me).
2) Boy would I LOVE to have a "cell" adjust feature for part groups that are repeated many times on the (a) schematic, and (b) board. By this I mean that I would define a master cell, and then i could easily drop daughter cells that would all change exactly as I change the master cell unless I unlink them from the master. This would be a really, really great feature.
Those are my immediate requirements, so any input greatly appreciated. Otherwise, here is the rest of my feature wish list (in time for Christmas )
3) I would love for Eagle to offer the option to beep once autorouting is complete, since I often go to another location and this would be very helpful to know when it is done.
4) On busy PCBs with lots of parts, I cannot see the higlighted device when I try to "show" a part, since it is often too small given all the parts, nets, and the size of the PCB being large. It would be GREAT if when parts are shown, would not just highlight slightly brighter, but would actually flash (at least for 5-10 seconds) so I can see them better
Thanks,
TC
