Just upgraded... and can't add part in 6.0

Hi all...

 

I just downloaded ver 6.0 and installed it.  I also upgraded my license, but haven't gotten the license key yet.

 

But I thought I would try it and play a bit as freeware.

 

So I started a new project, added a schematic, and went to add a part.  In the status bar at the bottom, it says "Updating from older version" and then Eagle crashes.  This also happens most (but not all) of the times I open the libraries folder in the control panel.

 

Any ideas?  I have reinstalled, rebooted, changed to a different lbr folder (and moved original 6 lbr there so it wouldn't see any old versions).  Now I didn't change my project folder.... maybe a should start with a clean one?  Though I hate to lose all of the work (been using Eagle since 4.1).

 

I am going to keep trying.  But I was hoping someone might know of a solution, and save me the frustration.

Oh, and I guess this might be important, System : Windows 7 64bit 4GB ram, dual core AMD, Radeon HD 4250 video.

    I renamed the old project folder, then reinstalled, which created a new project folder.  Hid all old versions (renamed) except 5.12.0, created a new lbr folder with just the 6.0 defaults, and now I can add parts.  Slowly trying to move my libraries one at a time until I find the problem one.  Same with the projects.  Still, if anyone knows away around it, it would be nice.
