How to transfer locked library files from Eagle 6.0.0 to 6.1.0

How do I migrate or transfer .lbr files from the 6.0.0 lbr directory to the 6.1.0 lbr directory?  The only way I know how is to physically copy the contents of one folder to another.  The more important issue I have is the libraries that I make show a locked symbol next to them in the add component menu in 6.0.0.  I do not see them in the directory so I cannot move them to the 6.1 directory.  I have my folder options to show all files but it still does not show.  How do I get my .lbr files transfered over every time I upgrade Eagle?

    Hello,

I would highly recommend that you don't edit components in the installation

folder but instead create your own folder (outside of the EAGLE install

directory) and keep your libraries there.  Then you have to configure EAGLE

to use your custom library folder.  We wrote an application note with our

suggestion as to how to handle this best.  Check out EAN-02 at

I hope that helps answer your questions.

    Cheers,

    James.
