Fresh Eagle 6.1.0 install won't run on my system

I just installed eagle-win-6.1.0.exe, the install seemed to go well. When I run the program I get a blank splash screen. The label in the upper left corner says 'eagle (Not Responding)'. If I move the cursor to the window I get the hour glass cursor.

 

I'm running Win7 - 64 bit.
