How to create ".gbr" gerbert 274X files from Eagle 6.1.0 light edition?

I have created a simple board and schematic and layout is all done.

Everything looks ok.

I am trying now to create gerber 274X files but I need the files to be ".gbr".

I know the regular convension is .cmp for component (top) and .sol for solder (bottom) layers plus of couse

the .drd for drilling layers.

But I need to create ".gbr" so that I can import them in our milling machine.

    Hi Jose,

The gerber standard doesn't set a standard convention for file

extensions, so every manufacturer has decided to put their own spin on it.

Any of the files you've generated .cmp, .sol could just as well have the

.gbr extension. What you really need to know is what data you milling

machine needs and then go from there.

    hth,

    Jorge Garcia
