n00b assistance - LM358 missing pins in schematic?

Former Member
Former Member over 13 years ago

Hi,

I am new to Eagle and am playing around with a simple schematic with a LM358 IC but it appears the schematic lacks the connections for pins 4 and 8. I have tried all variation of the LM358 in the library and all seem to be lacking these pins?

How can I net all the pins?

Your image cannot be viewed. And for the power pins you have to use

"invoke" command on the part. Then you can place the power pins 4 and 8.

Those are the GND and POWER/VDD pins, eagle doesn't always show these but you can make eagle show them with the INVOKE command. (just type "invoke" in the white bar above your design)

Thx for that! The extra pins appeared, funny way of doing it though,  I can move the extra pins independently of the rest of the lm358 symbol, I guess it doesnt matter as long as EAGLE knows what it means.

It lets you choose which of the two op-amps have the power pins, or if

things are really busy it lets you put the power pins off to the side.

It also aids in forgetting to plumb in the power pins at all, but that's

    a different story...
