Version 5.11. I have 6.02, but my client still uses 5.11, so I don't think I can use it.
I'm trying to copy a schematic page (A) from one schematic to another (B). At issue is a part called C that I use a lot.
In A, C is from library 1, in which the package options for C include a package called 0603S, among others. I don't use it. I use the 0603 package for C.
In B, C is from library 2, in which the package options for C do *not* include 0603S, but I'm still using 0603.
When I try to copy from A to B, I get an error:
"Package variant 0603S in old version of C is not present in the new version of the device," and it won't copy.
So I edited library 2 to include this package in C and connected it. I updated the library, checked it, saved and closed everything. opened everything, verified that in schematic B the C devices offered 0603S as an option, and tried copy/paste again. No help.
Now what?
