PQFN package footprints?

Hi - newb here.

 

I'm in the process of my first complex Eagle schematic/layout, but a number (ok, most) of my components don't exist in Eagle libraries that I know of. Schematic symbols are no problem, but I'm struggling with PQFN package footprints, where the there is a large "thermal pad" underneath the package, requiring thermal vias to the ground plane for heat transmittal.

 

It would be great to see an example of a successful PQFN package footprint description to use as a basis for related package descriptions. Does anyone have one that passes DRC/ERC with at least minimal errors?

 

Naturally, I'd be happy to contribute whatever is produced to back to the community.

    Hi,

     

    did you look inot ref-packages.lbr? There you find most packages that

    are used in EAGLE.
