Library Editor, package editor window

I have not been able to locate a way to do this so here is a suggestion. If the following is possible in Eagle I would appreciate someone letting me know where this is possible. When in the package editor and defining pads (SMD or otherwise), it would great to be able to define multiple pads by stating X and Y size of pads along with pitch and how many pads you want in one command. In other cad programs this makes defining a device package very easy, especially when you have devices with odd pad sizes or you want to modify pads for your own reasons.  As an example look at the free version of WinQcad.

Thanks all,

I would like to bring this function up to current standing because of the many packages I currently define.  Having this ability would enable constructing packages so much easier. This type of function is available in much less priced cad programs (WinQcad) and in my opinion it should be available to Eagle users. And I might add as a menu item not a ulp you have to constantly run.

I hope it is considered in a future update.

    Thanks,

I was looking through the ulp listing on the Cadsoft USA web site and saw how many programs people have come up with trying to simplify the making of packages. I must again ask that Cadsoft consider putting a menu option in Library Editor that allows for the making of packages easier. Please, please, a menu to specify X, Y size of a pad, by how many pads and pitch is being done in other cad programs. This function alone would cut hours if not days out of the making of boards.

    Thank you for listening,
