Hello, I'm really new on Eagle, I'm using 6.2.0 and when I make autoroute something unexpected is done, only when using arduino boards or shields, here I post the two screenshots:

this is before autoroute

    Hi Daniel,

The images didn't make it to the Usenet forum, however to venture a

guess. The red fill is a polygon pour which has always been there, I've

looked at the arduino files before and I know that they planes on them.

Don't worry if you look carefully, you'll notice that the plane won't

short anything or create any type of electrical issues, because the

Arduino team designed it to be there.

    hth,

    Jorge Garcia

    Hello Jorge,

Thank you very much for your answer! Any ideas on removing this polygon pour from the top layer? I'm designing a simple shield for a radio transmitter and a gps. (correct me if I'm grong but I thought on using a ground plane for the bottom layer only)

    Regards,

    Daniel P

    Hi Daniel,

If you want to remove the polygon activate the DELETE command and click

on the edges of the polygon, you'll see that you can delete sides one by

    one.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

    Best Regards,

    Jorge Garcia

I found a work around, you can make the polygon dissappear by selecting the whole board and ripping it up (what!).

Then press control-z to undo the ripup and you should be left with just the tracks.

The polygon is still intact and all you need to do to get it back is to press ratsnest.

This works in 5.11, don't know about 6.2.

    Regards

    James
