Resizing schematics from size A to size D

oz999
oz999 over 13 years ago

We have Eagle 5.11 schematics that consist of 4 sheets that are size A. Our customer wants us to change this to a single sheet that is size D.

The board is already laid out.

Is there a way to resize the schematics and change from 4 sheets to 1 sheet without touching the board layout ?

Thanks

Oz

    Oz,

First, make backup copies of your schematic and board.

Then, close the board.  You'll notice in the schematic editor window

that forward and back annotation has been broken, which is fine for now.

Next, remove the size A frame from sheet 1 and replace it with a size D

    frame.

Select sheet 2, group all, copy group and cancel the copy (this gets

everything into the paste buffer).  Delete the group.  Select sheet 1

and paste the copied group.  Position the group appropriately.  When you

paste, the component names (R1, R2, etc.) should be preserved.

Repeat this for sheets 3 and 4.

Finally, open the board and do an ERC to verify consistency.

    Hope this helps.

    Enjoy,

        - Chuck

    What do you mean by

remove the size A frame from sheet 1 and replace it with a size D frame.

I do not see any reference to a drawing size in the schematic capture.
