change from black crosshair on laptop running Vista?

autodeskguest

I have a crosshair issue in the pc board layout tool of Eagle Cad on my

Gateway laptop running Vista Home Premium.

In both Eagle 4.16r2 and 5.2.0 on my laptop, the small crosshair mouse

pointer is always black on a black background (instead of white on a black

background as it is on my WinXP desktop machine).  Being black on black, it

is very hard to see and work with.

Here's what I tried so far:

1.) Switching to Large Cursor:  This works and makes the pointer white, but

now the cursor spans the entire height and width of the screen.

2.) Switching mouse pointer scheme in Vista:  I switched the default mouse

point scheme from Windows Aero to (None), but it did not fix the problem.

I tried to search the forum headers but didn't find any answers to this

problem yet.  Has anyone else solved this?

Thanks,

-John

The small crosshair cursor is generated by the system (Vista).

You may want to try using a different cursor theme.
