Hi Ellen,
use the search function at the bottom of the add dialog.
If you want results DO NOT USE the EXACT NAME of a device.
The explanation is easy: The companies use their own abbreviations for
their device, even if they are equal. Also there are lots of sub families.
So look "unsharp" for devices by just using the relevant numbers like
"7427" instead of "CD7427", "HEF7427", "74AC27D" or whatever other
combinations.
In eagle you can use "?" for a single character or "*" for anything.
So instead searching for a "uA741C" which might also be a "LM741" just
use "741" and if that does not provide a hit then use "741" which
means: "Search for everything with "741" and it does not matter what is
before and after this number".
(All numbers without the '"')
BTW there are a lot of posts related with this matter.
