"Power Products" Library omissions in LTspice integration?

Former Member

I really like the LTSpice integration in the new V6.4.

However - I notice that large sections of the LTSpice "Power Products" component library seem to be mising in Eagle. In particular - I am using an LT1248 part which is well modelled in LTspice - but not recognisd in Eagle 6.4.

Is this a temparary ommission?

Is it easy for me to create these Eagle library pats - and if so can someone point me to a tutorial?

Is it easier to import the parts from the LTspice library - and if so are there instructions somewhere? Presumably I need ot add packaging info?

Is it likely that thie library wil be more complete in the near future?

Has anyone already done work to complete this library?

Thanks.

Richard.

I'm having similar questions.  I tried exporting a design from Eagle to LTspice IV.  Parts were missing their SpiceOrders.  Can those just be 'randomly' assigned?

Next I tried importing a simple inverting opamp circuit form LTspice.  Using a generic opamp I got the two resistors and the opamp, but most of the pins on the opamp package aren't connected to anything.  Editing that would be easy enough.

Next I tried importing the same circuit, but with a real opamp so the power supply pins would be wired, etc.  There was no Eagle part for the opamp I chose (LT1124), so the import only gave me the two resistors.  I couldn't re-export those to LTspice because those parts don't exist as a LTspice symbol.

What is the 'best' way to use the LTspice integration.  Do we need to create custom parts in most cases?  Thanks

    - Brent
