Lost Switch Symbol I Built In Vsn 5.12

I recently built a switch and used it in a pcb layout.

Now I cannot find it either in or out of XP compatibility

mode. Want to use the switch in another design. It still

shows in one of my designs but the library is gone. The switch

was not designed in XP compatibility mode. I have done a Windows

search for the library TL3310. Cannot find it. My system Dell Vostro

470 3.4GHz, 4 GB ram, Win 7 Home Premium. Help please.

You can run the EXP-LIB ulp and retrieve the part.

Yes, you have been "helped" by windows.  The trick in this case is to

create a folder under your documents (or other place you have write priv.

to) for your own libraries etc.  Then, in Eagle, you add the path to your

libraries to the preferences so it looks not only in the installed libs,

but in your custom libs as well.  This will also prevent Eagle from

overwriting them when you install a new version.  See the "Options ->

directories" section of the user manual in section 4.1 for how to add

additional locations for your libraries etc.
