Problem with component inter-sheet

Former Member

Hello,

I work with Eagle 6 pro and I have a problem with a component.

I made in my library a BGA with 180 pins. For more lisibility, I separe the power and the peripherals pins on my schematic.

What I would do is a part of my component on one sheet and the second part on a second sheet. (Like a Altium schematic)

How is it possible ?

Thank you very much.

Jonathan

There are two ways to do this.

The "traditional" (works on Eagle 4) method was to use the "invoke"

command. Either set up all the bits of the component (the symbols in the

library device) as "on request" or "next" bits or delete most of them

from the sheet where they all appear when the part is placed. Then on

the other sheets do "invoke ICnn" (you need to type this in the command

line because there's no gates to click on for selection) and pick the

bit you want on this sheet.

Since Eagle 5 it has also been possible to drag-and-drop gates of a

device from one schematic page to another using the thumbnails down the

left side. I don't know the precise semantics, though, because I'm still

    using 4.16

Nice, the command line solution is working. But the drag-and-drop no. But the problem is resolved with the first solution.

    Thank you
