VIA'S & TRACES

Question

I have eagle light, so only have 2 layers. I cant seem to make every trace not overlay each other with just 2 layers so I just wanted to be clear if this would work.

Just say you have a copper trace on the bottom layer and its approching another trace you dont want it too connect with on the same layer.

Can you add a via before the trace, then carry on that trace on the top layer, there for missing it.

In short.

Is it possible to change back and forth between layers with the use of via's

Yes, as Doug said. Just click the mouse middle button/wheel while routing to

change layers. That way a via will be automatically placed with the correct

signal name.
