Hi All,
I have a problem I'm hoping you can help with in eagle 6.4.0. I am trying to use "long"style pads with custom diameters for a custom component package.
Eagle does not seem to like me using a custom pad diameter with "long"style pads. The pads show up fine in the library editor but when I open the component in a PCB, the pad diameters are incorrect. They appear to revert to what they would be had I used the "auto" diameter setting. The pads save OK in the library editor and reopen as they should. The problem is only in the PCB editor. I have tried updating the library, etc.
Attached are two images to illustrate the problem. The first shows the pads in the library editor, and the second shows them in the PCB editor. As you can see, the pad diameters in the PCB editor are all the same diameter, though they should not be.
This is a very frustrating problem as I really can't use round or square pads in this application which demands high current from closely spaced pins. Any advice you can provide would be appreciated.
Regards,
Greg.
