Printing board with pad holes empty.

kevinf

Hello all, I am trying to print a board layout onto transparancy film for a hobby project of mine. To make drilling of the pad holes easier and more accurate, I want the pad holes to be printed without the end of the trace that connects to it. Every thing I have tried so far always leaves the very end of the trace inside the whole. I know this is possible, as I did it some years ago and still have those prints to show for it, but I have not done any board desgin since and simply cannot remember how I achieved this, only that it might have been a ulp.

Thanks for any help,

Kevin.

    Hello,

You say 'everything', but have you actually printed the board? On screen

the trace always shows in the drill hole, when printing it does not.

Not sure if this helps with printing, but if the problem is still there

check: Options > set > misc > display mode (this is eagle5.12). This

    should be set to 'real'.

As a sidenote, the ulp that Joern mentioned can also be useful. It makes

it a lot easier to drill the holes yourself, by placing pads with a small

drillhole in a seperate layer, which you can than add to the print.

It's been a long time since I last made a board myself, but I used that

    ulp always.

    HTH,

    Richard
