How can I change the default libraries Eagle uses on startup?

Former Member

I recently "upgraded" to eagle 6 for OSx.  I find that it crashes a LOT.  Everytime it crashes it restores seemingly default settings for routing, grid settings, which libraries it uses, etc.  Is there a way to change these settings?  In particular I only use something like 10 libraries and hate having to click every single one I don't want (I'd rather not delete because you never know what you might want in the future).  I also would like the default grid in mm, defualt routing settings to what I like etc.  Any thoughts on how to do this?  If eagle doesn't crash it appears as though my previous settings are restored...unfortunately it seems that it crashes more often than not.  Thanks!

    Hi David,

First off, if you have Conduit installed on your machine, please remove

it. We recently discovered that it raises total heck on EAGLE. That

should improve the crashing situation considerably.

Second, one of the best ways to setup defaults is to set them up in the

eagle.scr file which runs every time you open an editor. Section 5 of

the EAGLE manual covers its use in detail.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

    Best Regards,

    Jorge Garcia
