2 questions from n00b - delete dotted trace? resize board dimension? [ANSWERED]

Hi all,

I am a complete newbie to Eagle. I am designing my first schematic and PCB layout, and while I've read many tutorials and found them helpful, I'm running up against two questions I can't answer because I don't know the right terms to search for! I keep coming up empty. Here are my questions:

1) What is this dotted red line that is hiding under my trace, and why can I not delete it or move it? It exists in the Top layer. It appeared after I used the autorouter and then added a pad/trace in the schematic later. All I want to do is delete the dotted red line. Even when I group all and rip up all the traces, it stays.

2) I've draw lines to change the board dimensions, and they exist in the dimension layer, but there are blue lines on the outside which I cannot move or delete. They exist in the bottom layer. Here I am displaying only the bottom and dimension layers. The white line shows the dimension I want. The outside blue lines are what I want to change.

Thank you so much in advance for your help. Even if you can just give me links or the right search terms, that would be amazing.

It looks like either a residual DRC marker or a video driver anomaly,

neither of which would actually exist on the board. Try opening the DRC

window to look for remaining errors, which you can then dismiss. Also,

    try redraw or resize operations.

Again they look like not-what-you-think. Are you sure you're only

showing two layers? Because those look like dimension marks which should

never have got onto layer 16. Try turning layer 16 off and see if they

    remain behind.

    ...a residual DRC marker...

Brilliant. That was it. I didn't realize those persisted like that. I cleared the error and restarted the program and it disappeared.

I don't know how those dimension marks got onto layer 16, but that's where they were. I probably drew them there accidentally instead of in the dimension layer! I didn't realize that I couldn't delete them with the 'X' - I had to select them with the dimension tool, right-click on them, and choose delete. Then I re-drew dimension marks in the dimension layer where they were supposed to be.

Big learning curve with this program, but it is pretty amazing now that I'm getting a basic understanding.

    Thanks for your help!
