Problems with Eagle since upgrading to OS 10.9

Hello all,

Has anyone encountered and or found a fix for Eagle instability in Mavericks?

Two things are happening consistently:

- The move tool in schematic capture no longer shows the part/line/item etc in motion (screen is not updated with mouse moves). The instance simple drops at the cursor whenever you click.

- The program crashes when trying to add libraries to use.

I thought a fresh install may help but I get this:

Anyone have any ideas?

Thank you in advance!

I can confirm this happens to me too.  If you switch to another window

(CMD+tab) and then switch back, the display is updated and works as normal.

It's annoying and should be fixed, but switching windows gets you going

    now.

That one I can't reproduce.  How are you adding libraries to be used?

    Cheers,

    James.

    James,

Thank you very much for the tip using CMD+tab. What a relief!

As far as the "use" library menu crashing the system, since the original post I think it may have been a compatibility issues with the specific .sch file I was using (it was created on a PC using an earlier release, not sure which one yet).

After creating a new file and redrawing the .sch I've had not problem adding libraries to be used.

Thank you again James! You've been very helpful.

    Jack,

Installing OSX 10.9 has reset your security preferences, and OSX is preventing you from installing an unverified package.

You can either select "Allow apps downloaded from: Anywhere" within your System Preferences, or just ctrl-click the package and select "Open" to install it without having to change your preferences.

That should allow you to reinstall Eagle if you need to.

    Lee,

Thank you very much. This worked for me immediately, and is very useful to know.

    I appreciate your reply!

Running EAGLE on OSX 10.9 should normally work

but we don't support it officially yet, because our 3rd party graphics

    libraries don't support it yet.
