Just upgraded from  Eagle 6.2 to 6.5 and it ask for license file, Now I cannot use 6.5 or 6.2 wtf?

I thought I would finally upgrade to 6.5 from 6.2 so I download and install. Remebmering past Eagle upgrades and the havoc they cause (erasing entire libraries!), I made a back-up of my folder.

Now I cannot run 6.5 because I cannot find my license file. Oh well, I figure, I'll just use 6.2 back-up I made so I can get some work done... but Eagle 6.2 will not run either now, without the damned license file. WTF?

Is there any way somebody could send me my license file?

I am not sure if this will help, but try uninstalling Eagle 6.5 (and delete all files related to the new download) then check 6.2 if it asks for license.

UNfortunately that does not change anything. The new installer must install some hidden files elsewhere on the computer.

BTW, this is a fully paid for version of Eagle Professional.

You did not mention your system. If it's windows 7 or8 check under

"users" (you) to find the key file or search for files *.key .

If you don't success check with cadsoft.usa or cadsoft.de or your

    distributor.

OSX 10.7.5 running on a macbook. Been using Eagle for about 8 yrs. now. Almost every time I upgrade something like this happens. That's why I waited so long to upgrade from 6.2

I've sent emails to CadSoft Sales <sales@cadsoftusa.com>

I am waiting for their response.

There is also a default-assign.scr in the eagle/scr folder.

Maybe these settings are what you are looking for?
