Eagle TQFN-Autorouter

Hi there

I am using a PIC18F87K22 PIC in a TQFN-80 package in a design I am creating.  I created the part in a library and copied the TQFN footprint from another project.  Everything on my board will route with the autorouter apart from this part.  I tried manually routing a tiny section of wire from each of the pins out by a 1 or 2 mm and then tried the autorouter again then it worked.

The pads of the TQFN part are 0.3mm x 1.2mm and I set the grid of the PCB to 0.1mm and I also set the routing grid setting to 0.05mm and still cannot get it to auto route.  I know people will say why bother with the auto router just do it manually but I really want to use the autorouter.  I reduced the size of the net class down to 5mil still with no luck.  I have larger SMD parts - SOIC 16 and they auto route fine.

Can anyone make any suggestions?

David

I believe your problem to be pad to pad clearance. Setting is in DRC.I use TQFN-100 and needed to use 6mil clearance in the pad to pad setting.
