mouse tracking not working with add component

I'm a NOOB.  Installed and trying to get some work done :-}

 

I'm adding components and somehow have turned off the component tracking the cursor when I ADD.  It just plops it on the schematic only when I click, not tracking it with the mouse.  Anyone able to tell me what I did to make this happen??

 

I have a bare/new install on my laptop that is behaving normally (component moves with the mouse until I click).

 

Help?

    Hi Bill,

     

    Check your grid spacing, if it's zero that's your problem. Whenever the

    GRID is set to zero weird stuff like what you're experiencing happens.
