Multiple VDD or VSS pins

Well I at times am torn between creating a schematic symbol that is

logical (group pins together with similar functions) or physical (pins

laid out like the package/footprints).  Right now I am doing a physical

layout and the IC has two VDD and two VSS pins.  Of course EAGLE doesn't

allow the pins to have the same name and so I was wondering if there is

a way to do that.  Do others simply name it VDD1 and VDD2?

 

If I was to create the schematic symbol as logical with a single VDD and

single VSS, can multiple pads in the footprint be attached to one pin? 

I tried this before and believe I had trouble with it.

    Thanks Dave, I learn something new about everyday with EAGLE!  I will

    try this out later today.
