Export a schematics into LTSPICE file

After watching the video, I found that I had to modify the components. I changed my capa with LTSPICE capa, and I set SpiceOrders for each pin of each component. But when I try to export the device of a photodiode BPW32 into LTSPICE component, there is an error : "Can't build: C:/Program files (x86)/LTspiceIV/lib/sym/eagle/opto-trans-siemens "

And if I try to export my schematics, I have the same error than in my first post but for the photodiode BPW32, even though this photodiode have his SpiceOrder already set.

In the video you show some .MOD and .sub files, I don't have these files, you had it on his Desktop but I don't know what it represent. Is it something you have created ?

Sorry if I ask stupid questions but I'm a newbie on this subject.

You're getting bit by the UAC virtualization of Windows 7(or Vista or

8). It sounds like Windows is not allowing EAGLE to write to the LTSpice

installation directory.

Here's one way around it:

How to Bypass UAC Virtualization

Windows Control Panel > User Accounts > Change User Account Control Settings

Move the slider from the default of the third click down to the bottom

level "Never notify..." and reboot.

 

In the video you show some .MOD and .sub files, I don't have these

files, you had it on his Desktop but I don't know what it represent. Is

Those files are the manufacturer provided SPICE models for the component

I created. Whenever you're going to use a manufacturer's SPICE model for

a part you created you'll have either a .MOD or a .sub file that

describes how the part works to LTSpice.

Thank you for your help, I did this, but it did not change anything, I still have the same problem. Moreover this manipulation seems a little bit dangerous for my computer, don't you think ? It makes me lose a protection, I think.

That's one way to look at it, but so far that "feature" has caused

nothing but headaches for many programs. I'm suprised it didn't work.

When exporting to LTSpice did you remember to click Export Setup under

the LTSpice icon in the schematic? This establishes your environment.

The files are usually provided by the part manufacturer. LTSpice has

certain standard models which you can use if you're making a passive or

something like that. In some cases you may want to make your own models

but most of the time you'll use the ones provided by the manufacturer.
