I have designed a board using the schematic editor and want to do the layout in Mentor's PADs PCB layout tool. How can I create such a netlist.
Many thanks!

Hello,
Can anyone answer this question. Where is the actual netlist file located. I want to use a different layout tool (mentor PADs) to do the layout but schematics was done in Eagle
many thanks!
I don't know what the format of the PADS netlist is, but I did a google search and found this:
CADware s.r.o. - EN-EAGLE to PADS
If that doesn't work, you may be able to write a ULP to create a netlist.
I'm curious, why are you using PADS instead of the EAGLE layout editor?
Hi Doug,
Thanks.
I have a very fine pitch design and also new to Eagle. So decided not to risk on this design and have a friend who does layout for work do this for me so it comes out clean.

Ah, makes sense. Good luck with the design!
Doug,
FYI I looked into the tool and it is $600 EUR !!!
Too much for me. I guess I am a bit surprised that such a tool does not exist in public domain.
