Changing file permissions of Project directories

Question

How can I change the file permissions for the project folder to allow import_bmp.ulp to create the script it generates? Changing the permissions with Windows 7 does not appear to fix the issue. I would like to remove all premission limitations on the Eagle directories if possible.

The import_bmp.ulp program is denied permission to update any files in the project directory. Messing around in Windows 7 changing the allowed users does not appear to fix the issue.

Additionally sometimes my Eagle project folders end up in the mystery Windows 7 AppData black hole. I would like to prevent that from occurring too.

The problem is that EAGLE by default (and at fresh installation) puts

the project files in directories within the programs directory. This has

always been against all rules for Windows applications.

Simply move all your project data to a specific location outside of

the programs folders. I strongly recommend using a separate partition

only for your own data - and this applies to all other applications,

too. Change the directory settings within EAGLE to point to these

locations, and you're done.
