I am trying to make a pcb with some LEDs on it. I'd like to have them spaced out evenly over a given linear distance. I tried the demo of another cad program and you could select the items you wanted then tell it to space them out. Is there a way to do that in eagle?
As an extension to this question, is there a way to do this same sort of thing in a circle? Later I'd like to have a circle of LEDs that are evenly spaced out around a circle of a given diameter.
You've got as much control as you want when it comes to laying out parts with EAGLE. You can do pretty much anything with scripts, so it's best to refer to the documentation for that. As an example, it is possible to move and rotate parts using a script (which you could create using any programming language of your choice).
