Problems accessing news.cadsoft.de.

I sometimes have problems accessing news.cadsoft.de.

 

The problems seem to occur some time during the day as I can access in

the mornings.

 

When the problems occur I can ping news.cadsoft.de but

if I telnet news.cadsoft.de I just get a clear screen rather than a

response and If I use Ubuntu rather than windows I just get

 

Trying 85.10.203.38...

Connected to news.cadsoft.de.

Escape character is '^]'.

 

and no further response.

 

When things are working the response is

Trying 85.10.203.38...

Connected to news.cadsoft.de.

Escape character is '^]'.

200 news.cadsoft.de InterNetNews NNRP server INN 2.4.2 ready (posting ok).

 

Anybody else have problems accessing the news server later in the day?

 

I have been in touch with Klaus Schmidinger and as far as he knows I am

the only one having this problem.

    Should have said when telnet'ing the command is

     

    telnet news.cadsoft.de 119

    No problems at anytime. Using thunderbird / winXP.
