Overlaps pin - ERC

Hello,

I've just finished my first schematic and after running ERC I got tons of warnings.

They are basically informations about some nets that have overlaps pins in several components.

Other information I got says that nearly all components have unconnected pins, which seems a little weird, once everything appears to be connected.

Would you please give me some hints? It seems to be some kind of wrong configuration.

Thank you in advance.

Bests,

DougMal

The nets are not connected, merely coincident. This happens if you:

    - use the wrong tool (you want "net", not "wire")

    - move nets over symbol pins

    - have symbols with non-standard grid placement

Try moving one of the symbols you think is connected but ERC doesn't.

You will see that the unconnected nets don't move with it.

Quite often, moving the symbol back to where it started will actually

connect those nets. NOTE: moving symbols onto nets makes a connection,

but moving nets onto symbols doesn't!

    HTH,

    Rob

    Thank you Rob!

The problem layed on the non-standard grid placement.

I used grid in mm instead of inchs and this happened, once I mixed devices in mm and inches.

So I redraw all the symbols I had created in mm into inches and then redraw all pages.

    After that everything worked fine.

    Now it is PCB time.

    Thank you again.
