Eagle 7.1 Auto-router

After running the auto-router in 7.1, you come to the portion of the program marked "Evaluate". My problem is that once I select one to look at, all the other iterations disappear. It takes quite a long time to run several iterations of auto-router simultaneously so it is more than a little frustrating to have all this time wasted by not being able to actually evaluate which run is the most effective, especially when using a ground plane that may fall apart, reducing the initial percentage of completeness drastically.

Is there something I have missed in my reading of the manual that will allow me to save the auto-router work so I may really evaluate which run suits my needs?

    Hello Thomas,

I believe you e-mailed us about this. After you click Evaluate, on the

bottom right of the screen there will be an icon that looks like the

autorouter icon. Once you are done evaluating just click on that icon

and you'll be able to evaluate the other variants.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

    Best Regards,

    Jorge Garcia

After I click Evaluate, I don't see any icons like Autorouter icon on the bottom right of the screen. And I don't see the line "Continue existing job" in the Autorouter Main Setup". Can you help me? I use EAGLE Light version.

I have updated Eagle to 7.2 and noticed that the evaluation icon in the lower right corner no longer appears after running the autorouter. Please check into this problem as it is a significant time issue to run a moderately complex board.

    Hi,

You are right! I also have updated to version 7.2. This function has effect with a moderately complex board. Thank you so much!

    Best regards.
