LTSpice and Eagle

Former Member
Former Member over 11 years ago

I have Eagle 6.6 for Linux, though I could run the Windows version in a WinXP virtual machine in an emergency.

The CadSoft web site claims I can import and export LTSpice schematics using a ULP, but the links on the web site are completely generic, not actually pointing to the ULP in question. Searching for a ULP with "spice" in the name doesn't turn up anything.

LTSpice works perfectly in Wine, so I have it installed on my Linux machine, and it is usable.

However, I cannot figure out how to export from Eagle to LTSpice, and repeated Google searches have turned up exactly no documentation on it.

How do I do this?

Thanks,

Ray

    Hi Ray,

Currently, The ULP only ships with EAGLE it's not up on our site. The

reason for that is that currently the ULP is only setup to run on Windows.

I'm fairly certain, that it's only a paths issue however with all of the

craziness building up to and after the release of EAGLE V7 we haven't

been able to update the ULP.

    hth,

    Jorge Garcia

    Hi Jorge,

Thanks for your complete answer. I am quite interested in getting this working, so I will spend a little of my spare time on this and see if I can make it work. I'll extract the ulp from the Windows install binary, and play with it.

    Thanks again,
    Ray
