No .Lox when using gerb274x.cam

Former Member

Hi,

I'm trying to generate a gerber files using the gerb274x.cam script. The tool opens in the 3 CAM processor a GUI with five TABS (component side, solder side, silk screen CMP, solder stop mask CMP and Solder stop mask SOL) I think it should add more tabs for the inner layers.

When I'm hitting Process Jobs it does not generate .Lox files.

Any Idea??

Thanks

File extensions for Gerber files have never been standardized. The .Lox

that you expect is just somebody's personal (or possibly corporate)

choice, and happens to be different from CadSoft's default.

The gerb274x CAM job is for two-layer boards and has rather odd file

extensions (.cmp for top copper and .sol for bottom). It is permissible

    - indeed, practically expected - that you will edit the CAM job to at

least produce the file names you prefer. My version contains more

sections because we usually include a bottom side silk screen, for example.

    HTH

    Rob
