Mirror the solder side Gerbers?

Why does the Eagle-supplied gerb274x.cam job file come preset with

"Mirror" checked for solder-side layers?  I like to see all my Gerbers

from the top.  Fortuantely I think most board houses can take it

either way, and will flip the mirror back if they need to.  But I just

wondered why this was picked as the default.  It does make it harder

to make manual comparisons of the Gerbers with a Gerber viewer like

PentaLogix ViewMate.

The other problem is that mirroring any layer could raise questions about

layer orientation for board houses if there is no text on the board, or

something that would make that obvious.  This could delay processing.  On

the other hand, you could uncheck the mirror option (and add other personal

requirements to the cam job), rename the cam job and save for future use.
