Inconsistency between sch and pcb

martinph

Hi all,

As a new user to Eagle 7 i've started with a small schematic to make my own pcb.

Drawing a schematic was very easy for me.

After quite a few efforts (reading Help and this forum) I finally got rid of the "No supply pins for........."  errors.

Then I switched to the pcb - moved the parts into place and ran the autorouter (medium level).

To my surprise, both ic's do not have their power pins connected.

Am I doing something wrong? Or are there some kind of rules which I did not follow?

See attached both .sch and .brd.

Awaiting a reply,

Regards, Martin.

    You call that a solution?

Tell me: what search words do I have to use?

    Martin.

In a word, yes.  image  Have you tried actually typing "help invoke" in

    EAGLE?

    Step by step hand holding:

type "invoke" or click the invoke icon (right next to the split icon)

click on the first IC choose the appropriate pin and place it somewhere on

your schematic repeat for all required pins repeat for all ICs add power

and ground connections to schematic along with headers, regulators, etc

connect as appropriate switch to board and route traces, creating

    polygon(s) as needed

(It's the middle of the night, so I may not be completely coherent.

Hopefully, that's good enough to give you the general idea...)

    Regards,

    Doug

    Hi,

Sorry for my first reaction - I did not understand the word "invoke" (me being a dutch guy)

Applied the invoke function - after a few minutes all power lines are now connected.

PCB is now ready to be made.

    Thanks.

    Martin.
